Las Vegas Weather

Best Time of Year to Visit Las Vegas

One of the reasons Las Vegas is a great destination is because of its weather. It rarely rains and has over 300 days of sunshine every year! Although it can get chilly in the winter and hot in the summer, temperatures are relatively moderate most of the year. This makes for great helicopter tours year around! If you want to learn about what the weather is like during specific times of the year, check out the information below.

Las Vegas Temperature

As you can see, the winter months can get a bit chilly, although temperatures very rarely get below freezing. If you are planning on being outdoors, you will probably want to wear warmer clothes such as pants, shoes, and a sweater or jacket. In the summer months it can get quite warm, so you will want to plan on wearing cool, comfortable clothes and drinking plenty of water. The temperatures in fall and spring are usually very nice and are the most comfortable for enjoying outside activities. If you plan on flying with Serenity any time of the year, our helicopters are climate controlled with great air conditioning and we always have refreshing drinks available for those hot summer months!

Grand Canyon Weather

Weather inside the Grand Canyon is similar to that of Las Vegas, although it can be slightly warmer on the Grand Canyon floor with a maximum recorded temperature of 120 degrees Fahrenheit. The good news is that since it is a desert, temperatures do drop quite a bit in the evenings. The desert climate is also one of the reasons this area has amazing sunsets.

“Just had the most fantastic experience visiting the Grand Canyon with Serenity Helicopters. Beautiful place, fantastic weather, one of the best things we have done. This is really the only true way to see this iconic wonder of the world, from the inside, landed, spot of lunch and a glass of champagne, what more could you want.” - sjch67

“My mom and I took the tour to the Grand Canyon with Serenity and is was the best experience! From the time we walked in the building, Tristan and Devon made us feel very welcome. They offered us drinks and snacks while we were waiting, and talked to us about flight. Mad Dog our pilot was amazing and funny! Made us feel very safe and welcome the whole trip. Mad Dog was very knowledgeable of the Canyon and his flying skills mad us feel very safe. The weather was amazing and the picnic food and drinks were great.” - prissy32

“Once in a lifetime experience!! We did the Grand Canyon tour in the morning, don't worry if it's hot the helicopters have air con. Seeing the Grand Canyon from above is overwhelming, a must do for any visitors to Vegas.” - GlasgowSpanky

“Serenity may be a small company but the service they provide is superb. Promptly collected by Jordan and Spencer and from that moment on the attention they give is second to none. Short comfortable journey of approx 30 minutes to Boulder airstrip, knowledge is excellent giving a little bit of history along the way. Once we arrive at the hanger the waiting area is very comfortable, hot and cold drinks offered whilst preparation is under way by the friendly Shelby. Time to go and here we meet Mad Dog Mike our pilot. He keeps us entertained with music and commentary throughout the flight to the canyon. The views are spectacular and no-one could possibly fail to be impressed. We arrive at our own landing where a great lunch is provided whilst you take in the views, peaceful yet amazing. From start to finish Serenity make your experience one you will never forget.” - Debbie B
